A flat roof in Fort Lauderdale By The Sea that was holding water after every rain. Standing water on a flat roof is how leaks start: it finds the low spots, sits on the seams, and works its way into the structure. We fixed the cause, not just the symptom.
What we did
First we re-sloped the roof so water runs to the drains instead of pooling in the middle. Then we sealed the whole surface with a waterproof protective coating (waterproof painting) that reflects heat and keeps water out. The before and after tells the story: dark, ponding roof on one side, clean white sealed surface on the other.
Why it matters in South Florida
Between the heat, the sun, and the rain, a flat roof here takes a beating year round. A proper slope plus a waterproof coating adds years to the roof and stops small leaks before they turn into interior damage and mold.
