Water was getting to the foundation of this Fort Lauderdale home. Once moisture sits against the base of a wall, it works its way in and starts to undermine the structure. The only real fix is to seal the foundation from the outside.
What we did
We excavated along the foundation to expose the base of the wall, then sealed it with Tremco Waterproofing SG 250, a proven membrane system built for exactly this. Once the membrane cured we backfilled and put everything back the way it was.
Why it matters in South Florida
With our water table and heavy rain, foundations here are under constant moisture pressure. Waterproofing from the outside keeps water out of the slab and walls, protects the structure, and prevents the damp and mold problems that come with it.
